Resources to help with a Collaborative Law approach in the West Midlands & Warwickshire
Under the collaborative process, each person appoints their own collaboratively trained lawyer and you and your respective lawyers all meet together to work things out face to face. Both of you will have your lawyer by your side throughout the process and so you will have their support and legal advice as you go.
The collaborative process (Resolution)
The collaborative process helps you and your ex reach agreement more quickly than court and with the support of a multi disciplinary team.
Besides your lawyer, you will have the opportunity to work with an independent financial adviser, a family consultant, a child specialist or an accountant, who will provide you with specialist help regarding financial matters and those concerning children, parenting, communication and emotional support if and when you need it. All these professionals will collectively make up your collaborative team.
You and your team sign an agreement that commits you to trying to resolve the issues without going to court and prevents them from representing you in court if the collaborative process breaks down. This means that everyone is absolutely committed to finding the best solutions by agreement, rather than through court proceedings.

Resources to help with Arbitration in the West Midlands & Warwickshire
Family arbitration is a form of private dispute resolution in which you and your ex-partner appoint a fair and impartial family arbitrator to resolve your dispute.
Guide to Family Arbitration (IFLA)
Family arbitration is an ideal approach for people who want to resolve a family dispute without the delay and expense of the court process. It allows you and your ex-partner to engage in a flexible process, with complete confidentiality, and the knowledge that a decision will be made.

Resources to help with Early Neutral Evaluation in the West Midlands & Warwickshire
Early Neutral Evaluations (“ENEs”) in children and finance cases allow parties to settle with the assistance of an experienced specialist barrister appointed jointly as an evaluator, who will give their opinion on the merits and weaknesses of your case. The evaluator will guide parties toward a settlement.
Early Neutral Evaluation (4PB)
ENEs are usually carried out at an early stage of a case. The evaluator will produce an objective evaluation of the case based on an agreed set of facts and documents both parties wish to submit. This assessment can be delivered through a report or meeting with you. It is important to remember that while the assessment is not binding, if both parties agree with the evaluation, your litigation can consensually end on terms that both parties wish to accept.
4PB has a distinguished history as a leading set of specialist family law barristers, and chambers, in London providing practical, expert legal advice, and including effective and assured advocacy, in all practice areas of family law.
